My wife had this dream last night. We went to a business-like place that was selling clothes, and it was my wife, me, and our "family". I put family in quotations because my wife says that in the dream, we knew they were our family, but that we don't know any of the people in our waking life. There was a lady that was the owner of the business, and she gave us a coin or token to access an elevator. We went into the elevator and got to a different floor. We came back down and knew we had purchased something. My wife sees themselves with a backpack on their shoulders. We go back to the store on a different visit, and the same people were there with us again. We got the token/coin again and go to a different floor. There are huge windows at the end of the room, and when we went there, it's like we could see planet earth, but it was flat. And that's when my wife realized that each floor in the building was a different reality. So we used the token we needed to go back, to go to a different floor instead of going back, to see if it was different. This new world had a medieval feel to the people, and we knew that it was yet another reality. That's when we figured out we weren't going to be able to go back, because we didn't have a token. Somehow, we got to the edge of that reality, and jumped a fence into a different reality, but it was just my wife and I. They don't know what happened to the people that were with us. We found a door, and used something like a fire extinguisher to knock the door open. We started going down steps, and knew that each level we went down was a different reality, so we were trying to find our own. We saw a lot of different things, and they can't remember what they looked like (these different realities). My wife knows we got back to our own reality, but the store owner was mad at us. The owner was a woman. We left the store, and we're once again together with our "family". There was a red car outside, which looked expensive, but didn't have tires. And my wife felt like it was our car, but they were not worried that it didn't have tires. They then woke up.
The dream your wife had seems to be a reflection of exploration and curiosity about different realities or dimensions. The business-like place selling clothes represents opportunities or choices in life. The fact that your "family" in the dream consisted of unknown people suggests that this dream is more about the dynamics and experiences within your own family or relationships rather than specific individuals.
The token or coin given by the owner represents access or permission to explore different realities. The elevator signifies moving between different levels of consciousness or perspectives. The first visit to a different reality shows a glimpse of what could be, but there is also a sense of purchasing or committing to that reality in some way.
The realization that each floor in the building represents a different reality reflects your wife's awareness of the vast possibilities and potential for different experiences in life. The medieval-themed reality indicates a shift in time and historical context, suggesting a desire for variety or escape from the familiar.
Jumping the fence into yet another reality suggests a willingness to take risks or forge a new path, even without knowing the consequences or outcome. The door that needed to be knocked open with a fire extinguisher represents an assertive approach to finding your own reality or destiny. Each level or step represents different facets of life or potential realities that you encounter along the way.
Returning to your own reality with the store owner being mad at you signifies potential consequences or conflicts that may arise from seeking new experiences. The presence of a red car without tires symbolizes a desirable or prized possession that may be temporarily unavailable or incomplete. However, your wife's lack of worry about the situation may suggest a sense of contentment or acceptance in spite of imperfections.
Overall, this dream highlights a sense of adventure and exploration, a willingness to take risks, and a curiosity about different paths or realities in life. It may also signify a desire for growth, change, or new experiences within your family or relationships.
